CD Projekt Red, developer of the popular Witcher game, will be launching a new game called Gwent: Rogue Mage on Android, iOS and PC.
Rogue Mage is a single player deck building roguelike game to come out of the Witcher franchise. The game arrives on the aforementioned platforms July 7 simultaneously. The game is a Gwent expansion, with the core mechanics of the card game retained and sold separately for the multiplayer aspect.
The premium edition costs $19.99 and includes multiplayer card packs, cosmetics and skins, while the standard edition costs $9.99.
Rogue Mage takes place in a Witcher prequel, where Geralt is not yet born. The mage Alzur is the card game’s protagonist, and players follow the character as he tries to create the first witcher.
Users play in Gwent battles around a procedurally-generated map and interact with locations and Places of Power to add to their card collection.
